Like the rest of the world, I too am obsessed with subscription boxes. There is a consistent power struggle between my wallet and need to try the latest and greatest products on the market that are handpicked for me by a professional. FabFitFun is the holy grail of subscription boxes, one of the OGs, and I have been putting off my want to sign up for this US-based box since I first saw one of my one million fave celebs endorsing it on the pages of a Women’s Health magazine many moons ago. I did, however, decide to gift it to one of my best friends for her birthday at the beginning of the year. And as luck would have it, I forgot to cancel the subscription meaning the Spring box was delivered to my doorstep.
As someone who has pinned over the stunning ModCloth scarves and Instagram worthy beauty products for seasons, I can’t say I was that disappointed by my mistake. The bright blue box also happened to arrive during a time that I was feeling less than fabulous, a little unfit and not so fun. Donna and Tom’s “treat yourself” motto from Parks and Recreation has always made sense to me in times of despair.
The box came with a ton of full size beauty, fitness and fashion products making it totally worth the $49.99 USD price tag in my opinion. This month’s box features seven female-founded brands – a fact I truly appreciate considering the conversations around the #girlboss movement happening in my life and the world lately.
Included in my box were: a Gypsie tie dye roundie (value $50), Milly zip pouch (value $45), Luv AJ Diamond Kite Crawler Earring Set (value $85), Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish Set (value $19), Karuna Hydrating+ Face Mask Set (value $28), REALHER Lip Kit in Deep Red (value $48), Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator (value $75), and Briogeo Roscarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray (value $20).
The lemony scent and fresh feeling the exfoliator gives my skin has already made it a classic in my skincare routine. I have also become very much attached to the REALHER lip kit due to the outstanding packaging that makes you feel as fierce as Beyoncé before you even get the product on your lips. Overall, I have found the box to have outstanding value and, after begrudgingly cancelling, have signed myself up for a full year of the quarterly box.
